Kris MatyjaszewskiKrzysztof (Kris) Matyjaszewski is J. C. Warner University Professor of Natural Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University. His main research interests include controlled/living polymerization, catalysis, and synthesis of advanced hybrid materials. In 1995 he developed atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). During last 10 years his group has published over 400 papers on ATRP. His citation record ranks him 4th among all fields of chemistry. Close industrial interactions have been maintained via ATRP and CRP Consortia with over 40 industrial members. He received honorary degrees from University of Ghent, Russian Academy of Sciences, and Lodz Polytechnic. He is a foreign member of US National Academy of Engineering and Polish Academy of Sciences.
