ProfileProfessor Kazunori Kataoka, University of Tokyo, Japan
Dr. Kataoka received the Society Award from the Japanese Society for Biomaterials (1993), the Society Award from the Society of Polymer Science, Japan (2000), Clemson Award from the Society for Biomaterials, USA (2005), and Founder’s Award from the Controlled Release Society (2008). He has been a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering since 1999, and a vice president of the Society of Polymer Science, Japan since 2008. His current major research interest includes the development of new polymeric carrier systems, especially block copolymer micelles, for drug and gene targeting. |
