Frankfurt Airport has two train stations: the long-distance railway station (Fernbahnhof, in the AIRail Terminal next to Terminal 1) and the local railway station (Regionalbahnhof) for S-Bahn, regional and local trains (in Terminal 1). To travel to Mainz, please go to the local railway station Regionalbahnhof (for S-Bahn, regional and local trains) situated in Terminal 1, Level 1. The railway station is linked to Terminal 2 via free shuttle buses and the free Sky Line shuttle train . For timetable of the trains from the local railway station of Frankfurt International Airport to Mainz please visit: www.rmv.de. You can use either S8 (line 8 of the S-Bahn or commuter train) in direction Wiesbaden (running every 30 minutes at 28 and 58 minutes after the hour, one-way fare EUR 3.70, travel time about 20-25 minutes) or regional train. All trains to Mainz depart from platform 3. Tickets should be purchased in advance from the ticket machines. The nearest train stop to the Congress Centrum and the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Mainz is Mainz Römisches Theater Bahnhof. |
